ERA - When Printers Are Not Working

When you send a job to a printer(s) and nothing prints out, it may be because the ERA system has stopped spooling jobs from ERA through to the printers. There is an easy way to check if you can restart the printer(s).

Open ERA screen 6320 and you will see something like this:


Note that line 6 printer is “disabled” status – we want to change this to “enabled” – like the other printers. Arrow down and highlight line 6:

Press “a” to change the status to enabled:

If it does not change to “enabled” or it changes to “printing” then call service desk to have an incident raised as further investigation will be required. Once “enabled” go to the printer and see if it has printed your print job.

If it still is not printed then raise a service now incident to have the printer(s) investigated, as it may be a more technical problem.
