Jeb Bush, Keynote Speaker
Jeb Bush, Keynote Speaker

The NADA Convention continues to maintain a history of high profile speakers again this year. An inspiring line up is set to lead the general sessions next week, which includes Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. While the event has welcomed three former presidents to the stage in the past – George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton – NADA spokesman Charles Cyrill upholds that speakers are selected based on their public appeal, rather than on political interest.

Serving as the Governor of Florida during the 1999-2007 period, Jeb Bush holds a reputation of being one of America’s best and most popular Governors. With his passion for the improvement of public education, he is a transformative figure who has paved the way for educational reform in the United States. During his time as Governor, Jeb developed an impressive record in public service by establishing higher academic standards and raising the academic achievement results. Maintaining his passion in public service, he currently holds the position of chairman and co-chairman of the Foundation of Excellence in Education and the Barbara Bush Family Literacy Foundation.

Long before his role and accomplishments as governor, Jeb Bush had demonstrated enthusiasm and success for business and entrepreneurial activities. In the early 80s, he was involved in various entrepreneurial pursuits, some of which include becoming the minority owner of an American professional football franchise, purchasing a shoe company in Panama and taking part in a project that saw water pumps being brought into Nigeria. Since then, Jeb has plunged into greater entrepreneurial endeavours, establishing a successful consulting business in his name and venturing into the paid lecture circuit.

Through his lectures, Jeb Bush has explored his perspective on entrepreneurship and leadership, and has encouraged the celebration of an entrepreneurial spirit. He has shared his view on the important contribution entrepreneurship has made to America’s success and the extraordinary role it has played in the nation’s history.

Speaking on the importance of taking risks in business, he explains, “Society talks about the failures of the business world, but it should talk about the dignity of jobs, examples of sacrifice and the products and services businesses provide”.

In 2014, Jeb Bush created speculation surrounding a potential run in the 2016 Presidential Election. Last month, he announced that he will be exploring this possibility.

With aspects of government and business having an impact on dealerships and the automotive industry, we look to Jeb Bush’s keynote speech to hear his perspective. Don’t miss out on the session which will run on Friday January 23rd from 2:30pm.
