Pentana Solutions is always working behind the scenes to create enhancements for existing products. Over recent months, we’ve focused on developing further efficiencies within our Dealer Management System, ERAnet V9 in order to deliver the latest General Update 7.

After a successful pilot completion, ERAnet’s General Update 7 is now set to roll out to dealerships in late December. The advantages to the dealers can be seen in every area of the dealership.

PARTS

Crucial additions have been made to the Parts space of ERAnet including the exciting integration of Handle for eBay. The Handle product, which is used to automate the processing of parts sales generated through eBay is now available for general release. This product transfers the sales order from eBay to the ERAnet parts application and automatically generates the picking and invoice documentation. Afterwards, it integrates to Customer Order Management when required, and flows through to other warehouse picking modes for area picking, RF scanner picking, carousel interfacing and more.

In more integrated Parts news, new parts locator interfaces have been added to select Manufacturers to allow visibility of parts stock to the dealer network; EPC interfaces have also been added for specific franchises to enable parts shopping list transfers.

In general ERAnet Parts, new functionality has been added to parts maintenance and parts ordering to allow the storing and display of notes that may be important to staff when placing orders for a part. In addition, notes can also be stored against buy backs to assist with the ongoing review and maintenance of active buy backs.

RF Picking Enhancements

We’ve listened to customer requests for more complex RF scanner picking requirements, and those with conveyor systems installed now have additional functionality to assist with integration to the conveyor system and subsequent picking dissection required.

Further to that, parts departments now have the option to group areas for the statistics reporting available for the unpacking, put away, and picking functions while bar code label printing has also been enhanced to allow for the printing of QR formatting.

VEHICLES

A brand new Deal Log is now available in ERAnet Vehicle Advisor that provides a real-time dashboard, replacing the need for Excel logs. Benefits from the new Advanced Deal Log (ADL) include greater transparency, auditability and productivity gains across the entire dealership. This product can be used by Sales, Pre-delivery, Admin, Stock Control, Finance & Aftersales and is included in the monthly Vehicle Advisor services.

In additional Vehicles news, a number of enhancements and fields have been modified within ERAnet’s Vehicle Advisor to increase efficiency. One example includes the new field in New Vehicle Maintenance Screen (0626) that was added to differentiate between vehicle models when the description is identical.

More Manufacturer interfaces have been added to eliminate manual keying and include vehicle invoicing, status orders, dealer fleet claims, holdback payments, and pricing.

SERVICE

Exciting enhancements have been made to Online Service Bookings (OSB) to improve customer experience and provide dealers with additional functionality. These include but aren’t limited to:

  • Keywords can now be used to exclude specific operation codes from being published
  • The ability to control which service operation base codes to display on the Recommendations page, Categories page
  • When logged in as a customer, Service History details for a vehicle will now display all other non-labour and non-part items.

Back in the core ERAnet Diary Detail, a new column has been added called, Customer Name. This column allows the Advisor to easily contact the customer by using the hyperlink function.

In Service Scheduler, a number of enhancements have been made including the ability to filter the display of invoiced RO’s, the introduction of time validation to Tech 2&3 allocations, the ability to schedule and monitor work for multiple departments at the same time, and more.

Other Service functionality additions revolve around ERAnet technician notes, operation code filtering, Workshop Control management of RO’s, ERAnet’s new appointment screen, Loan Car agreement printing and SMS credit card charges.
