An exciting opportunity now exists for a Developer to join our Innovations Department.

Reporting to the Developer Team Lead, your primary focus will be to design, write, review, test and maintain computer programs based on customers’ business requirements and systems or application demands.

THE ROLE:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry standard Development practice.
• Undertake programming tasks that provide a structured framework for Pentana Solutions applications.
• Undertake programming tasks, including but not limited to the design, coding, testing and documentation of applications and database software.
• Undertake programming tasks that enable automatic regression testing.
• Analyse and modify the maintenance of programs and procedures as needed.
• Provide a high level of customer and technical support to clients, both internally and externally.
• Prepare documents detailing the design, operations, troubleshooting and maintenance of applications, as well as all related technical documentation.
• Assist in testing and bug fixing as required, including approval of incident rejections.

WHO YOU ARE:

Professional;

• Bachelor of Computer Science, or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team.
• Working experience within an Agile Scrum environment
• Demonstrated experience with primary development toolset (e.g. JavaScript, Universe, HTML, CSS)
• Working knowledge and experience with prevalent web browsers
• Working knowledge of the waterfall SDLCs
• Working knowledge of a variety of operating systems, particularly Windows and Redhat Linux.
