An exciting opportunity now exists for a PMO Manager to join our Project Management team. Reporting directly to the General Manager - Delivery ANZ & Asia, this role is accountable for the strategic and operational direction of the project management team within the ANZ region. This role is targeted to achieve quantifiable efficiency and quality improvements within the ANZ hubs, as well as being responsible in delivering projects on time, on budget with superior customer experience.

THE ROLE:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure strategies are in line with the ANZ Delivery direction
  • HR management of the project managers across ANZ region
  • Meet regularly with project managers to review status of existing projects progress.
  • Collaborate with delivery management team to manage workload of the project managers.
  • Interact with presales and sales teams to assist with any necessary scoping of projects.
  • Assist with contract releasing and billing related queries as required.
  • Lead high level session for project plans and scheduling development.
  • Escalate decision to ANZ delivery manager and executive sponsors as necessary.
  • Introduce and embed global processes into the ANZ project management office
  • Define project managers’ skills and shortfall and coach accordingly
  • Ensure continual improvement is entrenched within the project management office utilising lesson learned methodology and understanding roadblocks that surround the team
  • Attend leadership development program sessions as required
  • Undertake additional duties as required and during period of leave of other staff.

WHO YOU ARE:

Professional

  • Qualification in project management – PMI PMP certification or equivalent – highly desirable
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Proficient in project management software
  • Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management - desirable
  • Excellent leadership skills

Personal

  • Ability to build solid relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • An ability to prioritise and make decisions
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and operate to tight timeframes
  • Ability to chair structured meetings
